The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) and Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB) announced the Central European Scientific Conference on Green Financing and Sustainable Development. The conference is scheduled for October 13 2020, in Budapest, Hungary, on the margins of the NGFS (Cental Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System) Central European Green Finance Conference 2020.

CTI (Dr. Kovács) joined Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP), a global allience network to enhance the science, policy and practice of ecosystem services for conservation and sustainable development. EPS encompasses working groups focusing on various scientific, policy and practical aspects of ecosystems and ecosystem services. Working Group 16, which focuses on financing the improvement of ecosystem services is of particular importance for CTI. Payments for Environmental Services is the umbrella concept for investment project schemes targeting environmental improvements: conservation and development projects. CTI’s Ecosystem Finance Scheme is a PES-like mechanism to engage private capital in investing in the environment. Please, find further information on ESP here .

The National Office for Intellectual Property issued the trademark registration document for the logo of Ecosystem Finance Scheme, CTI’s unique methodology for developing Payments for Environmental Services (PES) programs.
The date of starting official protection of the EFS trademark is February 23, 2018
